This formula carries CBD and CBG isolates at 1:1 and 40 mg/mL: 18,920 mg in the 16 fl oz jar, 9,460 mg in the 8 fl oz bottle and 4,000 mg in the 100 mL bottle, half CBD and half CBG. The same formula goes into every size, so the concentration never changes with the container.

  1. Tell the client first. The oil contains CBD and CBG. Use it on intact skin.
  2. Pump once or twice into the palm and warm it between the hands.
  3. Apply with long strokes. One application is designed to give about 8 to 10 minutes of glide.
  4. Top up as the session needs. A 60-minute full-body session takes about 0.75 fl oz (22 mL).
  5. For hot stone work, keep the oil at 55 °C (131 °F) or below.
  6. Wash up with soap and water. Hands wash clean.

Will it wash out of my sheets?

The lead carrier is fully saturated and the oil is formulated to disperse in water, both chosen with linens in mind. A linen wash test has not been run yet, so we make no wash-out statement.

Can I use it for hot stone work?

Yes, with the oil kept at 55 °C (131 °F) or below.

How much CBD and CBG is in each size?

40 mg per mL, half CBD and half CBG: 18,920 mg in the 16 fl oz jar, 9,460 mg in the 8 fl oz bottle and 4,000 mg in the 100 mL bottle.

Does it contain THC?

This formula uses CBD and CBG isolates, not full-spectrum extract. Every lot will be tested for THC, and the certificate of analysis for the lot will report the result. We make no promise about the outcome of any drug test.

Is it scented?

No fragrance and no essential oils are added. Beta-caryophyllene gives it a faint dry, woody note.

16 fl oz or 8 fl oz?

At about 22 mL for a 60-minute full-body session, the 16 fl oz covers roughly 21 sessions and the 8 fl oz roughly 11. The cost-per-session calculator on this page works it out for your room.

Is the backbar formula different from the 100 mL bottle?

No. The 16 fl oz jar, the 8 fl oz bottle and the 100 mL airless pump are filled with the same formula.

Can it be used in prenatal massage?

No. Every formula in the line contains cannabinoids, and the label advises against use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. That applies to the therapist as well as the client.

Can clients buy it to take home?

Yes. Stock the 100 mL airless pump for in-office retail, sold in packs of 4, 8 or 12.
